
cinnamon rolls. i made these a few days ago and hope to make them again this week.
dough:
1/2 c milk : 3/8 c water : 1/4 c butter, melted : 1 egg, beaten
3 c flour : 1/3 c sugar : 1 tsp salt : 1/2 tsp cinnamon : 3 tsp instant yeast
filling:
1.5 tbsp butter, melted
1 c brown sugar : 1 tbsp cinnamon
glaze:
3/4 c powdered sugar . 1 tbsp milk . 1 tsp vanilla extract
directions:
- make dough using bread machine dough cycle
- roll dough to ~ 9” x 18” rectangle
- brush on the melted butter and sprinkle most of the sugar/cinnamon mixture over top
- roll the dough from one long edge to the other and pinch closed to make an 18” long roll
- turn seam side down and cut into 12 pieces
- grease a 9” x 13” glass baking dish and sprinkle any remaining sugar/cinnamon mixture over the bottom
- place the rolls in the dish then cover and let rise about an hour until doubled
- bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes and let cool for at least a few minutes
- whisk the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla together to form the glaze
- flip the rolls out (upside down) onto a serving plate and drizzle the glaze on top.
