cinnamon rolls. i made these a few days ago and hope to make them again this week.

dough:
1/2 c milk : 3/8 c water : 1/4 c butter, melted : 1 egg, beaten
3 c flour : 1/3 c sugar : 1 tsp salt : 1/2 tsp cinnamon : 3 tsp instant yeast

filling:
1.5 tbsp butter, melted
1 c brown sugar : 1 tbsp cinnamon

glaze:
3/4 c powdered sugar . 1 tbsp milk . 1 tsp vanilla extract

directions:

  1. make dough using bread machine dough cycle
  2. roll dough to ~ 9” x 18” rectangle
  3. brush on the melted butter and sprinkle most of the sugar/cinnamon mixture over top
  4. roll the dough from one long edge to the other and pinch closed to make an 18” long roll
  5. turn seam side down and cut into 12 pieces
  6. grease a 9” x 13” glass baking dish and sprinkle any remaining sugar/cinnamon mixture over the bottom
  7. place the rolls in the dish then cover and let rise about an hour until doubled
  8. bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes and let cool for at least a few minutes
  9. whisk the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla together to form the glaze
  10. flip the rolls out (upside down) onto a serving plate and drizzle the glaze on top.
